Somerset Pacific, founded in July 2003, is an asset management firm specializing in the management of Multi-Family housing with an emphasis on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC) properties. Somerset Pacific’s corporate office is in Garden City, Idaho.Its current portfolio consists of 1,280 units. These properties are located throughout Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Alaska, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Louisiana.Somerset Pacific’s staff has extensive education and experience in fair housing laws, ADA, the required compliance issues that govern the LIHTC, RD, HOME, and the HUD Programs. The staff is knowledgeable and experienced with the reporting requirements for owners, syndicators, lenders, and state and federal agencies. Somerset is operated in a decentralized environment with four regional managers. Each regional manager is accountable for the properties in their respective portfolio. They are charged with supervision of all staff, financial success of the properties and resolving all tenant complaints, violations, and other issues as they arise. Somerset has a fully functional accounting department and compliance team which interacts daily with site managers, vendors, state agencies, investors, and owners. Somerset provides in-depth in-house training with on-site trainers dealing with compliance, customer service and operations.

Position: President

Ed has been with Somerset Pacific and CDI for 13 years, coming from the corporate worlds of UPS and Target Corporation. With 25 years’ experience in logistics, operations, district, and regional levels, he brings with him a diverse and vast background that is being utilized to create a “top performer” environment for each of the CDI Group of companies. Training, staff evaluations, incentivized pay structures, job description and task loads are coordinated by Ed. He is also bringing skilled support to CDI in the form of Asset Management, where a system has been developed that provides a constant quality improvement environment for each of our apartment communities, site managers and maintenance staff.

Alexis has been with Somerset Pacific and CDI for 4 years, bringing in 15 years of experience in accounting for property management and development. She has led the accounting departments for successful fiscal management in affordable housing, nonprofits, and commercial developments.

Position: Director of Operations

Eric got his start in Operations and logistics in the corporate world where he worked in management for Target corp. and Gap inc. He takes pride in being able to identify key variables and deliver results that improved efficiency in the logistics programs that were in place. Eric has experience implementing training policies, performance management, and most importantly believes in training development to ensure our employees are prepared for what obstacles may arise. His biggest focus is on communication and ensuring that our onsite staff are supported so they can maximize their potential and produce results.

Position: Director of Human Resources

Strategic Human Resources Professional with 20+ years of experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives. Expert in employee relations, worker compensation, benefits administration, HR policy development, workforce planning, payroll, and compliance. Sheila is also an experienced healthcare administrator serving as District Superintendent for a rural hospital district and interim administrator for other rural healthcare facilities that provide medical services to underserved communities.

Mr. Drouin has been overseeing Facility Departments since 1992. With oversight of Portfolios as large as 18,000 units across 5 western states, Commercial Portfolios of 13 million Square feet across 2 states, and control over combined Operational and Capital budgets of more than $35M. Mr. Drouin’s original training was in HVAC Installation and Repair where he spent 7 years prior to entering Multi-Family and Commercial Property Management. Mr. Drouin prides himself with the ability to develop strong business relationships with Residents, Property Owners and both City and State Officials.
